What to expect during the appointment?
For the first appointment I schedule 2 hours. The first hour we talk about your concerns and what you want to work on. The second hour will be spent doing the first treatment. Many people feel relaxed and sleepy after the first treatment so it's good to have some ‘down time' after the treatment. I usually treat people weekly initially (depending on the issue) for 6 - 8 weeks and then re-evaluate to determine treatment frequency.

Once you start feeling better, then I space the treatment frequency out to every 2 weeks, then every 3 weeks, then every 4 weeks, and so on until we reach a maintenance level. There is no need to bring your medical records. And please don't wear heavy makeup or perfume for the first appointment.

What are the fees?
I charge $92 per hour.  The first treatment since it is approximately 2 hours long is $180. Follow up appointments are one hour long.  I accept cash, check and credit cards (Visa/Mastercard).  Please don't allow finances to prevent you from getting the treatment you need. Call and we can talk about the cost and your individual situation.

I am in my office Monday through Thursdays and occasionally accomodate a Friday appointment. I take my last appointment of the day at 6:15pm.

Does insurance cover acupuncture?
Most insurance companies cover acupuncture in the State of Washington. I am not a provider for any insurance company. I collect the fee at the time of treatment and then,  provide you with a receipt to submit to your insurance carrier. You then submit the receipt with a claim form to your insurance company. Most insurance companies reimburse (after you fulfill the deductible) 40-70% for 'out of network 'provider.

 I do bill insurance for PIP (Personal Injury Protection) cases, most commonly for car accidents.  PIP usually covers 100% of my fees.
